Time Travel Camp: Voyage à travers le temps
(Week 1: June 23–June 27)
Get ready for an adventure in Time Travel Camp! Campers will explore historical periods, from ancient civilizations to the Renaissance, through hands-on activities like crafting costumes, building time machines, and role-playing famous figures. Each day will be filled with exploration and discovery, all in an immersive French environment!
Cultural and World Exploration Camp: Découverte mondiale et culturelle
(Week 2: June 30–July 4)
En avant! In Cultural and World Exploration Camp, campers will “travel” the globe, exploring vibrant cultures through cooking, dancing, and crafting. They’ll also learn French along the way. This camp is the perfect way for kids to discover new cultures, broaden their global perspective, and have fun—while speaking French and expanding their horizons!
Nature and Environmental Camp: À la découverte de la nature
(Week 3: July 7–July 11)
Let your child become a nature explorer at our Nature and Environmental Camp! They’ll learn about local wildlife, plant gardens, and enjoy nature walks while practicing French words for the natural world. Campers will also take part in eco-friendly projects like recycling and sustainable crafts. With hands-on activities and outdoor discoveries, this camp inspires kids to connect with and protect the planet!
Superhero Training Academy: Académie des Super-héros
(Week 4: July 14–July 18)
Calling all future heroes! In Superhero Training Academy, campers will create their own superhero identities, complete with costumes and powers, as they tackle missions that test bravery, strength, and teamwork. Through role-playing and fun challenges, they’ll learn what it means to be a hero while discovering real-life inspirations of courage and kindness. It’s the ultimate adventure to unleash their inner hero—tout en français!
Under the Sea: Sous l’océan
(Week 5: July 21–July 25)
Dive into excitement at Under the Sea camp! Your child will explore marine life through water games, ocean crafts, and fun activities, all while learning about sea creatures and ecosystems. Campers will splash into the French language and culture as they pretend to be mermaids, create ocean creatures, and engage with nature. It’s a week of adventure, fun, and learning—under the sea and en français!
Petite Ecole du Soleil
(Preschool & Pre-K campers: ages 2–4)
Petite Ecole du Soleil is designed for children ages 2-4 who will be attending preschool or pre-kindergarten in the fall. Children must be potty-trained and have prior daycare experience.
The program introduces French through everyday activities like greetings, colors, fruits, and days of the week. Mornings focus on language acquisition, while afternoons feature fun activities such as games, arts and crafts, sports, singing, and reading.
In addition to language learning, the program emphasizes social-emotional development, helping children build social skills through daily interactions. Each week introduces a new theme, with activities tailored by the French teacher to engage and explore the theme.
Grande Ecole du Soleil
(Kindergarten–5th grade campers)
At Grande Ecole du Soleil, we offer a dynamic introduction to French language and culture. Through daily activities, campers will learn essential vocabulary, including greetings, colors, fruits, and days of the week, while developing key social skills through communication and interactions.
Mornings focus on immersive French language acquisition, while afternoons feature fun activities like games, arts, crafts, sports, singing, and reading to reinforce what they’ve learned. Each week explores a new theme, deepening campers’ understanding of French language and culture. Our experienced teachers ensure a fun, enriching, and educational experience at camp.
Is there a daily rate?
No, we do not offer daily or half-week rates.
My child is between 2-4 years old, can they attend?
Children ages 2-4, who will be attending preschool and pre-kindergarten in the fall can enroll in Petite Ecole du Soleil. The children must be potty trained and have prior experience in a daycare environment.
When can I drop off and pick up my child?
While summer camp will run from 9:00am–3:00pm, daycare beginning at 8:00am and ending at 5:00pm will be available at an additional charge.
Will there be camp on 4th of July?
No, our campus will be closed and we will offer a modified rate for the week of Monday, June 30–Friday, July 4.
Who is on staff?
Our on-site staff and activity instructors are dedicated to providing a high-quality, safe, and enriching experience for campers. With backgrounds as qualified educators, they create an atmosphere where children can appreciate themselves and others. All staff members undergo background checks and hold CPR and first-aid certifications.
Does my child have to speak French?
No, we welcome students at all levels.
My child does not attend LILA during the school year, can they still attend?
Yes, we would love to expose your child to French at our premier French Summer Camp, Ecole du Soleil.
Can I purchase one week?
Yes, you can purchase weeks separately.
Until when do I have to receive a full refund?
You can request to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund before Friday, June 13.
When will I receive my welcome letter?
Welcome letters are sent out the week before the start of the enrolled week.
