Welcome to the 2023-24 Annual Report! We’re excited to share LILA’s top achievements and unforgettable moments. Whether it’s the creativity of our juniors and seniors witnessed at LILA’s Art Expo, the many community-building events hosted by each campus’ Parents’ Association, or the annual 5th grade Trip to France, there is much to share!
These are just a few of the many remarkable moments we experienced together. Every achievement and event is a testament to the dedication and spirit of our incredible community.

LILA Art Show
Thank you to everyone who joined us for LILA’s IB Diploma Visual Arts Expo at Morán Morán Art Gallery! It was a joy to showcase the amazing artwork of our 11th and 12th-grade IB students. Their talent and creativity were on full display for parents and other members of the LILA community to see. Each piece represented a unique artistic expression for which our students are known. Great job to all who participated in this year’s exhibit!
5th Grade Trip to France
Each year, our 5th-grade students go on an incredible trip to France filled with fun, friends, learning, and laughter. This year, the trip included a stay in Paris as well as a journey through Normandie complete with a visit of the Mont Saint-Michel. The trip is popular with current students and alumni alike, solidifying its place as a cherished memory for everyone.
Grandparents/Grandfriends Day
LILA’s most recent Grandparents & Grandfriends Day was another heartwarming celebration at the Pasadena and West Valley Campuses! Grandparents, grandfriends and LILA students spent quality time together, enjoying fun activities designed to create lasting memories. It’s a cherished tradition that strengthens the bonds between generations.
LILA Alumni Association
2nd Annual Alumni Happy Hour
LILA’s Annual Alumni Happy Hour on June 13th was another fantastic event, bringing alumni together for the second year in a row. The evening was full of excitement and nostalgia as graduates returned to the Burbank campus, reconnecting with old classmates and reminiscing about their days at LILA. This event highlighted the strong sense of community we’re known for and helped forge new connections within our growing alumni network.
Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
Congratulations to the Class of 2024 on reaching this incredible milestone! Your hard work, resilience, and dedication have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be more proud of your achievements. As you step into the next chapter of your academic journey, pursuing studies at esteemed institutions like the University of Pennsylvania, USC, UCLA, NYU, UC Berkeley, the Manhattan School of Music, INSA Lyon, Les Roches and many others, we are confident that you will continue to shine and excel. Your time at LILA has prepared you to thrive in diverse and competitive environments, and we know you’ll bring the same open-mindedness, confidence, and drive to all you do. We wish you all the best as you embark on this exciting new adventure—your future is bright!
8th Annual AJ Memorial Game
This past May, our community came together on the basketball court at the Burbank campus for the 8th Annual AJ Ramseyer ‘14 Memorial Alumni Game. The atmosphere was electric, with friends and family showing immense support, highlighting the incredible impact AJ had on everyone who knew him
The alumni usually have the upper hand in these games, but not this year! For the first time ever, our current LILA students managed to pull off an epic win against the alumni. The game was a nail-biter from start to finish, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. In the final seconds of the game, Victor K. (class of 2024) helped secure the victory. With the score incredibly close, he stepped up to the line and sank two clutch free throws. Those shots put the game just out of the alumni’s reach, handing the students their first win. Well done, everyone!

Athletics
Our LILA athletes did a wonderful job competing once again with the pride and effort we’re known for! Our High School Boys Soccer team placed first this year as the International League Champions. Both the High School Boys Basketball and Volleyball teams made a great run as well, qualifying for the CIF playoffs. LILA’s FIYA Cross Country team placed first this year, while the Middle School Girls’ Volleyball team placed second in the Arroyo Sports League. Our Middle School Girls Basketball team and Middle School Boys Basketball team achieved similar success grabbing second place in the Arroyo Sports League as well. Great job Lions!
Annual Fund
Shout out to class leaders and chairs!
The Annual Fund would not be possible each year without the tireless dedication of our Campus Chairs and Class Leaders. Each year hardworking parent volunteers step up to help us engage the entire community and spread the word about the importance of giving to the Annual Fund. From our first-year volunteers to our veterans, we’re thankful to have you assist the Advancement Team. The effort and passion you show each year is very much appreciated. Thank you!
A big merci to all of our volunteers!
