Book Discover LILA event & campus tour
The first step is to book a Discover LILA event so that you have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of our French-English bilingual curriculum. After the event, you’ll be invited to book a tour of the campus of your choice.
Apply
Once you have decided that the International School of Los Angeles is the right fit for your family, fill out the online application. The deadline for preschool, pre-K & kindergarten applications is November 30.
Required documents list:
Age is determined by the cut-off date of December 31. This means that children applying to:
- Preschool must be three years old by December 31 of the year of entry.
- Pre-K must be four years old by December 31 of the year of entry.
- Kindergarten must be five years old by December 31 of the year of entry.
Please note that any child entering our school should be fully toilet-trained.
Interview
After applying, prospective students and their parents will be invited to interview and meet our team in February. Offer letters follow in mid-March. Upon receiving and accepting an offer, simply complete the online enrollment.

Book Discover the IB® at LILA event & Shadow Day
The first step is to book a Discover the International Baccalaureate® (IB) at LILA event and student Shadow Day. At this event you and your student will gain a greater understanding of our school, the pre-IB International Program in 9th and 10th grade, and the International Baccalaureate® Diploma Programme (IBDP) in 11th and 12th grade. A Shadow Day gives your child a chance to experience our school community and classes, and for us to get to know them as well.
Apply
Once you have decided that the International School of Los Angeles is a great fit for your family, fill out the online application and submit all appropriate documentation. The deadline for high school applications and all supporting materials is January 31.
Required documents list:
- Official transcripts for the last three years. These can be uploaded onto the application platform or sent in separately to admissions@lilaschool.com.
- Recommendations from a member of the administration, math teacher, and English teacher. The current school official and teachers should complete this recommendation form and return it directly to our Admissions Team at admissions@lilaschool.com.
- A 500-word essay on the topic “Why I want to be an IB® student”
- Optional: Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) (ERB Code: 571496) or Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) Results
Interview
