At LILA, the educational journey begins at or around age three in Maternelle, welcoming children to their first school experience. Our bilingual immersion program centers learning through oral language, fostering self-discovery and a growing understanding of one’s place in the world.

In our nurturing and stimulating environment, every moment—from hanging up a coat to sharing snack time—is an intentional building block, designed to cultivate autonomy and a love of learning.

Through engaging, hands-on activities, our youngest learners discover what it means to be a student, becoming comfortable in the social environment and learning to exist within the classroom community. They develop crucial skills in cooperation and communication, for example, by learning letters and sounds through the names of their classmates.

All learning then is social-emotional. Teachers pay close attention to the linguistic and interpersonal development of each child. Each child grows in confidence, cultivating their ability to learn and succeed at school and beyond.
