High School Educational Trips & Travel

Adding richness to academic work through experiential learning

At LILA, education isn’t just about textbooks—it’s about experiencing the world firsthand. Our high school students don’t simply learn about history, culture, and global issues; they immerse themselves in them.

Through museum visits, film festivals, theater performances, and cultural events, students engage deeply with diverse perspectives, sharpening their ability to think critically and connect meaningfully with the world around them.

And learning opportunities can go beyond local experiences. Many students travel internationally—whether exploring ancient civilizations in Greece on a school break, or by completing sustainability projects in Costa Rica that fulfill International Baccalaureate® Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) requirements.

These transformative, generally optional excursions align with our mission: to develop confident, caring, and open-minded critical thinkers who are prepared to lead in a diverse, global society. Because the best education doesn’t just prepare students for the world—it empowers them to shape it.
