High School Examinations
Demonstrating and assessing mastery
French Baccalaureate
French Baccalaureate students take the diplôme national du brevet (DNB) or diplôme national du brevet mention internationale (DNBi) in 9th grade. These comprehensive examinations, taken in French, assess students’ academic progress. In 11th and 12th grade, FB students add five specialty courses to pursue alongside their seven core courses, culminating in the Baccalauréat.
International Baccalaureate®
All International Baccalaureate® Diploma Program students take exams in 11th and 12th grade for each of their courses, assessing advanced academic mastery and resulting in an IB diploma. The majority of our IB students achieve the IB Bilingual Diploma, certifying, as well as showcasing, the years of hard work they put into becoming genuinely bilingual.
Advanced Placement
Students have the opportunity to sit for Advanced Placement (AP) exams, though we don’t offer AP classes as part of our curriculum. The rigorous nature of IB courses naturally aligns with many AP subjects, giving students a strong foundation for success. Registering is easy—students can simply check with College Counseling for details.
